Out of the Jurisdiction: Walk to the Ocean

The walk to the Indian Ocean was different from other beach access walks I have taken.  The land
just beyond the beaches is densely forested, so the walk is like hiking through a wooded tunnel.

Gorgeous.

Along the way I saw a few brightly colored butterflies.
With limited wifi, I have not been able to identify them yet.

Beautiful butterfly! I would have liked the tunnel effect.

This sort of reminds me of a place I go on the Oregon coast. There are lots of wooded trails that lead to the beach there too. Love that butterfly.

Not many tourists here, eh?

The walk looks like a real exploration, Jack!

It certain looks and sounds like it is a nice way to access the beach. Love the first shot! Just wondering did you by chance get a shot at the end of the tunnel before leaving the tunnel that shows both tunnel and beach? I would love to see a shot like that, I think it would be an amazing view.

Looks like a lovely hike with the ocean at the finish line.

Add two kids and you've got The Walk to Paradise Garden by W. Eugene Smith.

Yep. Totally gorgeous.
I knew butterflies came in colors like that but I've never seen one in real life.

Very pretty butterfly. It's a gold banded forester, Euphaedra neophron (I looked it up.) It needs a more exotic name, with iridescence like that turquoise.
