Capitol Tour Guide

The tourguide who showed my group the Connecticut State Capitol's Senate chamber said her name is Miss Informed.  I don't think so.

PS. I wondered if you had been in Shem Creek because I recalled that you had had a bicycle tour in Charleston awhile back. Thanks for the comments on my blog.

Thank goodness for the many docents who share their knowledge and respect for our historical buildings, museums, etc.

Another superb post, Jack. Isn't it great to get out and about, see, listen, tour, photograph? Thanks!

A beautiful chamber.

Nope. She's lying. Her real name is Mrs. Informed! Cute portrait, though.

Re your comment on Ocala: You must not have been a school teacher or you would know that all teens are fearsome! :-)

Very nice. My Honey and I enjoy tours of historical places. Those who give the tours usually have a great interest in their subjects, too.

Love tour guides with a sense of humor -- well, anyone with a sense of humor, actually!! How does one get along without one in the world today????? Great shot as always, Jack! Hope your week is going well!!

Ha -- good one. At least she didn't say her name is Miss Guided or Miss Understood.

Hi Jack, why do you think she is not informed? She looks so competent...

What's wrong with being called Miss and to have the surname 'Informed'? Really, Jack, that is so obviously true... She looks like she is enjoying what she is doing though!

Good for her! ;-)

I think tours like this are fascinating. The last one we did was the Belfast, Northern Ireland, City Hall a couple of years ago. Maybe it's the members of the chamber who are Miss Informed.

I should do that but I fear running into the governor and I can't stand her.

It is quite a talent and a bit of theatre to be able to talk about history and to captivate an audience. Bravo!
