SmellingTulips

This is how you learn that tulips are beautiful but don't have much scent.

When I bought a bunch of tulips recently, the lady in the floral department of Safeway told me that the packets of flower preservative do not work on tulips.

Instead, if you put a 1970's or earlier penny in the water, the copper will extend the life of the tulips. We did, and it works.
